Feel the dance
of the mind's wish
stepping firmly,
reeling, twirling:
priceless prints
in unseen soil

Prints In The Valley by Robert Carter
Walk away from the wall and
say to yourself: now I see
the maze that confused me
when i stood so close.
Take comfort in its endless,
shrinking safety.
And in each step see less of
each stone, feel none of the
sun's head captured in the
clay, and never again touch
the names carved into the
bricks b those who stood with
you in confusion, so close.

Understand innocense, and that
all actions are forgivable.
Children and fools are not
innocent; they are unknowing.
To be innocent, one must know of the trespasses possible.
So that he who is not capable
of evil, is not capable of good.
